Thanks in part to your incredible generosity, we are honored to share a heartwarming update: 350 girls at the FAWE all-girls school in Freetown received brand-new pencil pouches filled with essential learning tools—all part of our Year of the Pencil initiative.
This represents hope, dignity, confidence, and opportunity for girls who are striving for a brighter future. At FAWE, these young learners work hard every day to rise above challenges and pursue their dreams. For many of them, something as simple as a pencil pouch means:
The ability to stay organized and complete assignments
Confidence in the classroom
The belief that someone cares about their education and future
Because of you, 350 girls now have the pencils they need to learn, grow, and thrive. Because of you, classrooms at FAWE are filled with renewed excitement and possibility.
As we continue strengthening education for girls across Sierra Leone, your partnership remains essential. Your kindness fuels real transformation.
And today, that impact can go even further.
Through Dec. 3 at noon EST, donations up to $2,500 will help us earn a share of @GlobalGiving’s $500,000 GivingTuesday matching fund.
This is an extraordinary opportunity to double your impact for girls’ education.
Thank you—from our hearts—for standing with these young learners.
With gratitude,
Amy & the Develop Africa Team
