It started as a simple service project by a handful of middle-school girls. But it evolved into a passion project touching many at Christel House Mexico (CHMX). Building character through acts of service and community building is an essential part of an education at Christel House. Therefore, the girls were encouraged to grow their idea into a wider reaching project. Fifty-four girls, from Grades 1 through 11, two staff members and 15 family members joined the cause – cutting and donating locks of their hair to benefit cancer patients. The amazing service project did bring a few tears. “All of the girls were really brave and showed great character,” says Tania Álvarez Madrid from CHMX. “This was such a touching campaign. Witnessing this act of love was impressive.”
