Monica's mother has struggled to hold a job all her life. Her father abandoned the family when she was very young. Yet, thanks to the education and support she received while studying at Christel House, Monica's future promises a brighter path.
While at Christel House, Monica was an active member of the student council where she exhibited strong leadership skills and a high degree of responsibility and trustworthiness. While at Christel House, she was able to have healthy and nutritious meals, receive necessary health care, and was also provided the encouragement and support she needed to pursue her goals.
A 2011 graduate of Christel House, Monica was offered a scholarship to attend Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences as the university was impressed with her top marks in science and math as well as her very high scores in languages. There she has continued to excel academically according to her professors. Monica has now been promised a position as an optometrist at Sankara Eye Hospital as soon as she completes her course of study at the university.
