Christel House India - Bangalore (CHI) high school students continue to excel in academics. New test scores show the Christel House advantage. 98% of grade 10 students passed the state exams, beating the state pass rate by 25 percentage points. 87% of CHI 12th graders passed their graduation exams, beating the state pass rate of 60% by 27 percentage points. "Many factors are responsible for this success," says Jaison C. Mathew, CEO of Christel House India. "The passion and commitment of our teachers, the support of our donors, the hard work of the students and most importantly, the belief of our founder Christel DeHaan -- that education is the only way to break the vicious cycle of poverty. We are committed to continue to fight poverty through quality education and character development."
