Christel House Indianapolis is a public charter school that serves students in under-served neighborhoods in Indianapolis. For many students, the obstacle to education is not ability, but lack of opportunity. With your support, Christel House Indianapolis empowers students with life-changing education. For over 25 years, Christel House has been dedicated to empowering children from under-resourced communities to realize their potential and transform their futures. We've done this by providing the comprehensive support system they need to thrive, both in school and beyond.
As a requirement to graduate, all Christel House Indianapolis students must gain acceptance into a four year university to understand that college is a viable option. Through our College & Careers program, we begin exposing our students to higher education in grade school and a variety of career options so they can consider college or job certifications after they graduate. We set high goals for our students and expect they will be successful.
Christel House Indianapolis graduates have higher median incomes five years after high school than all but one other public Indianapolis school network or district. They also have the highest earnings among Marion County high schools serving a high percentage of students from low-income backgrounds.
