For the third consecutive year, Christel House Academy South has been named a School of Distinction by College for Every Student (CFES). To be considered for the School of Distinction title, a school must meet a strict set of criteria, including implementing college-themed programs for the entire school and involving student families in activities focused on post-secondary opportunities. College Transition Counselor, Laura Tucker, leads Christel House’s CFES program. “Christel House is very proud of the success of our College & Careers program,” says Tucker. “Our students begin visiting colleges as early as 8th grade.” Winning this award for the third time recognizes how Christel House Academy continues to improve a strong program. “We continue to grow our student mentoring and college visit experiences,” says Tucker. “100% of our 2018 graduates received acceptance letters to 4-year universities.”
