Save & Nurture Child Care Foundation plan to build learning centers and create environment that produce exceptional girls who will drive change in their communities to support girls traumatized by the anglophone crises in Buea Cameroon. Also, we will work with SNCC ambassadors to transcend child abuse, child labor, illiteracy, poverty and gender-based violence in Buea, Cameroon.
Given the Cameroon crisis, we are at risk of raising a lost generation of unschooled girls. As of May 2018, an estimated 42,500 children were still out of school, according to UN Office for Humanitarian Affairs (OCHA). Girls in particular are prevented from school. This project will affect more than 300 girls deprived of a chance for proper schooling, as lack of education and a sense of hopelessness create a perfect environment for child abuse, trafficking and radicalization.
SNCC identify safe spaces where children can gather without harassment to benefit from our unique education scheme, where we will provide psycho- social support, clothing, water and food. Scholarships will be given to vulnerable girls in the North West and South West regions of Cameroon. Also the SNCC Girls Empowerment and Kids Entrepreneurship program will educate, support and empower girls to acquire basic education which can ensure their economic empowerment & contribution to economy growth..
The project will educate and empower 300 girls who do not have access to formal education due to the on- going anglophone crisis allowing them to rise out of illiteracy and poverty which will promote sustainable development in the area. We will also empower these girls to protect themselves from all forms of abuse and violence which will reduce sexual exploitation in Buea Cameroon.
