30th May 2024 was a significant day for Polycom Girls at the JF Kennedy Centre in USA when our Founder Jane Anyango received a Global Leadership Award - the Collective Action category on behalf of Safecity Partners in 11 countries. This was through Vital Voices Global Partnership, a non profit started by Secretary Hillary Clinton during her time as the first lady. The organization has grown with more Talking Boxes was singled a unique initiative which enabled through without smart phones to collect data in Kibera Slums, other 3 counties in Kenya and in other countries.
Polycom is grateful for your support which enabled this local initiative to take shape. Many local innovations never make it to implementation level because donors only concentrate on established initiative.
This is all made possible by your generous support, the Talking Boxes is a community generate innovation which can only be made possible with unrestricted funds. We are happy that we are going to the next level with the project. We still need your support to print and share reports that would support policy advocacy and SDG 11.
