Angel’s story is one of resilience, perseverance, and unwavering hope. Born to a mother in her late forties, she entered the world amidst challenges. Her mother, battling breast cancer since Angel’s infancy, has fought tirelessly, but the cost of treatment has left their family financially drained, unable to provide the education Angel so desperately needs.
Now 16 years old, Angel’s future hangs in the balance. In her final year of high school, she was sent home due to an overwhelming school fee balance of $800, with no means to cover it and nowhere to turn. Struggling even to afford travel back to her village, Angel found herself lost—until the kindness of her fellow girls brought her to Polycom Girls.
At Polycom Girls, Angel found renewed hope. Seeing her distress, Polycom stepped in and paid $500 toward her outstanding school fees. We continue to work tirelessly to raise the remaining $300 so she can complete her high school education. Alongside financial support, Angel has received psychosocial counseling, empowering her to stay strong and focused on her dreams. We have assured Angel that she will not walk this journey alone—we will stand beside her until she graduates.
Angel’s story is not unique. In the first quarter of 2025, Polycom Girls provided education funding for 12 students, ensuring they could stay in school and continue their education. These contributions were more than financial aid—they were lifelines, rekindling hope and securing futures that would have otherwise been lost.
