This is the question that from Yo Quiero Yo Puedo, took on special relevance during the month of March. The commemoration of International Women's Day invites us to reflect on how physical activity, games and sports lack female participation and representation.
The Active Schools program has allowed us to empower physical education teachers and thereby encourage the participation of more girls within the school community. With this, girls acquire tools to visualize their abilities and strength to achieve their goals while we make visible the importance of accompaniment that encourages girls and young women to do what motivates them.
After five years of activities, we brought together 52 schools in the CDMX metropolitan area under the premise of physical activity, game and sports as a development tool, with which conditions have been favoured so that more than 8000 girls can in short term:
