This project seeks to facilitate the education of children and includes the provision of school uniforms and shoes, meals and care to 100 vulnerable and at risk children amidst the tin structures of the Zandspruit Informal Settlement in Johannesburg, South Africa.
In the last quarter we had the privilege of presenting a pair of shoes each to 51 boys and girls from a primary school within Zandspruit. A new pair of shoes was such a welcome gift to these 51 children, and there was much exuberance and dancing on their part. However, there were still many who went home disappointed as we were not able to provide them with a much needed pair of shoes. Our hope is that we will be able to pool resources together and return to the school with more shoes at the beginning of the next school term in April 2024.
This is all possible because donors like you give in order to facilitate an elementary education for the less privileged children of Zandspruit. You are not just providing shoes and meals for these children but in a seemingly hopeless situation, you are giving them hope for a brighter future.
We remain always deeply grateful for your support!
