Empowering Young Girls Through Sports!
Our program continues to empower young girls through sports, and we are excited to celebrate the successful introduction of our 1st Volleyball Tournament for Secondary School Girls in Minna, Nigeria!
August 2026.
The tournament brought together 6 secondary school teams, with over 90 girls competing and showcasing their skills, teamwork, determination, and love for the game. We were thrilled to recognize outstanding participants, with awards presented for Best Player, Most Promising Player, and Champion Team.
Prizes included athletes’ shoes, gym bags, and a trophy for the winning team.
The tournament was also wonderfully supported by the community, with over 100 friends and family members in attendance to cheer on the girls. Most importantly, the girls had a great time and are already looking forward to their next matches!
One of the participating athletes, Halima, shared that the experience encouraged her to spend more of her spare time improving her volleyball skills. Stories like hers remind us why creating opportunities for girls through sports matters.
