We are happy to announce that we have been selected to participate in Global Giving's Photo Contest!

Thorbjoern Chakravary visited Nyaka in April 2012 as a volunteer. There, he used his skills as a photographer to help you see what life at Nyaka & Kutamba Primary Schools is like for our students. He also had the opportunity to meet with some of our grannies. He documented their resilience, the determination of our students, and how the work you have done has benefited them. Earlier this month, we submitted three of his beautiful photographs to Global Giving's Photo Contest.

This will be great practice for the upcoming Girl Effect Challenge in October. If your star students are selected to participate this year, they will need you to be their champions again. You helped them win last year and we believe nothing can stop us with you in our corner.

Every Girl Needs A Hero

Wednesday, June 13th is BONUS DAY!

Every donation made on June 13th, will be matched at 50% up to $1,000 or until all matching funds run out.

There are $75,000 in matching funds available!

You are the reason we were selected to be apart of the Girl Effect and we are counting on you to help us take full advantage of this wonderful opportunity by sharing and giving big!

Meet the lovely Tauba.

She is one of 30 children enrolled in the primary one class at the Nyaka Primary School. At home, she helps her family collect firewood. When she's at school, she likes playing with her friends and learning science. Her goal this year is to pass her exams.

For $21 a month, a special donor like you has made that goal more attainable than ever for 90 students just like Tauba. We are at 15% of our ultimate goal - to have every one of our 584 students sponsored.

Now, we have a chance to increase the impact of your amazing support!

On any other day, committing to the monthly gift of $21 a month on Global Giving provides one primary student like Tauba with a uniform, meals, medicine, and supplies for one school year. For $42 a month you can provide the same support to one secondary student.
