Female attendance on the rise in YOUR schools!

Students ranging from Primary to University students started the school year in February. We are proud to have 780 students enrolled in your schools this year! Out of the 780 students enrolled, a total of 56% of students are female. Making female attendance up 2% from last year!

Your efforts and encouragement have given girls the strength to attend school. Every donation made to EDJA has made female students feel safer to walk to and from school. We also welcomed a few new bright girls in the nursery classes this year in Nyaka Primary School and Kutamba Primary School.

Many girls like Amelia are grateful to be able to go to school. Amelia’s Grandmother enrolled her in Nyaka after being orphaned. After starting at Nyaka, Amelia learned how to read and write. Amelia is now a Primary Seven student in the debate club. Because of the debate club, Amelia wants to use her voice to become an advocate to speak up for other children.

You helped many students like Amelia find their dreams. Many students wouldn’t be in school at all if it wasn’t for the support they receive from you!

Nyaka's new documentary 'VICTORS' is coming soon. This powerful documentary highlights EDJA's effort to open everyone's eyes and hearts to the most remote and powerful #metoo movement of our day and the fight against sexual violence in rural Uganda.
