Juliet is a 14-year-old Primary Seven student at Nyaka Primary School who lives with her grandmother, aunt, and three sisters in Kyampoza village in Nyarutojo parish in Kambuga sub county, Kanungu district.
Juliet was accepted into the 2014 nursery class when she was 7-years-old. She says, “I was shocked to find the school providing teaching, meals, scholastic materials, uniform, books, pencils and shoes to all pupils without fees. On top of that I was told that I will not be paying for school fees or medical care because I am now part of the Nyaka family!” Juliet believes she succeeds in her classes because she is comfortable, content, and cared for. Her success in school will lead her to fulfill her ambition of becoming an excellent nurse.
