The Race to 1k has now started.

Today Global Giving will be matching $.50 of every dollar donated starting at 9am EST and lasting through midnight.

On top of that, they will also be rewarding the organization that receives the most gifts from new donors with $1,000.

You students need your help to win this virtual relay.

Take your place on the starting line and...

  • Give a $10 gift to support girls' education.
  • Share your generosity with 5 friends and family members of Facebook, Twitter or via email.
  • Inspire them to give $10 too by telling them why you support children like Sheila, Ritah and their classmates.

Pass the baton!

Sheila and Ritah are loving life. (see above)

They are attending Nyaka Nursery School.

When they arrived on campus their bellies were distended due to malnutrition. They were barefoot in tattered clothes. They did not have daily access to medical care through a school nurse.

What a difference YOU make.

You can tell by the pictures that these little girls have blossomed under you love and care.

They are eating healthy meals and drinking clean water every day. You have given them brand new uniforms with shoes, socks and underwear. You have placed pencils in their little hands and given them school books too.

You have changed their lives for now but what about the future?

Well. Let's talk about their future.

Because these two little girls and their fellow classmates will be educated, they will be less likely to contract HIV/AIDS. They will bear fewer children and wait to get pregnant until their bodies and minds are mature enough to handle that responsibility. They will not be forced to marry in their teens.

You have rescued them from a life of poverty.

You should be SO proud of your compassionate work.

Tell the world.

Inspire them with why you believe that these little girls are worth your investment.

Pass the baton!

Win the Race to 1k.

GO!
