Girls are Excelling Thanks to YOU!

YOU give to this project because YOU believe--like we do--that girls education is one of the most important ways to end poverty.

Right now YOU are supporting 261 girls in primary school, 96 girls in secondary and vocational school and 7 girls in university. YOU are giving them everything they need to be great students: free education, textbooks, healthcare, sanitary napkins, nutritious meals, school uniforms, scholastic materials, medicine and vaccines, and so much more!

YOU are a hero to these girls!

Access to education is one of the biggest barriers YOUR girls have to overcome but, tragically, we've learned that there is another barrier we need to address. Recently there was an attack on a 9-year-old student who attends Kutamba Primary School. She was sexually assaulted by an adult man. After the obvious shock and horror of this event, Nyaka decided to take action. We have launched a new program to protect the girls and boys in our community from sexual assault and to support Nyaka students who have survived a sexual assault. Our program is just beginning but exciting work is being done in the fight against sexual assault already. This has included legal advocacy for survivors and educating the community about what they can do to protect their children. If you're interested in learning more, click this link to our new Global Giving project where you can learn more.

YOUR partnership and compassion has given so many girls opportunities they've only dreamed of before. Thank YOU!
