It takes a lot of hard work and determination to make it through law school, which is why we are so proud of Sarah. She is beginning her third year of law school at Uganda Christian University and doing very well. Unfortunately, many of her peers have dropped out of the law program because they couldn’t manage the discipline and work required. Some of them also dropped out because they could not afford the tuition. Sarah attributes her success to the support she gets from YOU! She said, “Thank you very much, my sponsors, for the gift of education that you have blessed me with. You have surely saved me from begging on the streets of Kampala, the capital city of Uganda. You are empowering me to stand against the violation of human rights, you have given me the insight to work for a better future and I promise to work tooth and nail to ensure that your efforts are not wasted.”
Outside of the classroom, Sarah has been volunteering in the research section at the Court of Appeals. This is the second-highest court in the hierarchy of courts in Uganda (the Supreme Court being the highest). She has also been busy volunteering and attending trainings. Recently, Sarah attended a training where she learned about alternative dispute resolution, which is a method used during arbitration. She wouldn’t have these amazing opportunities if it wasn’t for YOUR love and support.
Thank you for making it possible for Sarah to pursue her dream of becoming a lawyer!
