Dear Global Givers,
We are thrilled to share with you the latest progress of our dedicated scholars. Your generous contributions have played a pivotal role in transforming their lives, and we are pleased to update you on the strides they have made in their academic and personal development.
Since its inception in 2018, iPartner India’s Project Rakshan has been diligently working to prevent trafficking and inter-generational sex work among young girls and women, especially those living in Rajasthan.
Through the Educate Her Empower Her (EHEH) campaign of Project Rakshan and with your generous support, these girls are being given the opportunity to not only escape violence and exploitation but also realise their dreams. The campaign focuses on promoting education among girls vulnerable to commercial sexual exploitation, aiming to prevent them from falling victim to sex trafficking.
Our scholars from EHEH continue to showcase their dedication, particularly evident in their recent exam results. Many of our students have excelled beyond expectations and have yet again displayed their commitment to breaking free from the socio-economic barriers that have long held them back.
After a long summer break, our scholars have resumed school/university, moved forward to the new academic year and are now preparing for their upcoming internal assessments. As our cherished supporter, you would also be delighted to know that we have made great strides in helping our scholars stay focused in achieving their individual goals and have enrolled five more scholars into the boarding institution scholarship programme for the current academic year.
Focus on English Proficiency
One of the significant areas where our scholars need assistance is in enhancing their English proficiency. English skills are crucial for their academic success and future career opportunities. Recognising this need, we are in the process of hiring a dedicated English teacher who will work closely with our scholars to improve their language skills.
Our scholars are highly motivated and keen to enhance their English proficiency. They understand that mastering this language will open up new academic and professional avenues for them. The proposed initiative will include interactive language workshops, one-on-one tutoring sessions, and access to digital learning tools, all aimed at building their confidence and fluency in English.
Case Study: Meet Nilansha* (name changed)
Nilansha* (name changed) a resident of a village in Rajasthan, joined our scholarship programme four years ago as a 9th-grade student. From the beginning, Nilansha* has shown strong commitment to her education.
With the support of the scholarship, Nilansha* successfully completed her high school education and is currently in her first year of college. Her determination and hard work have been evident in her academic performance, consistently ranking among the top students in her class.
Nilansha* aspires to become a police officer. Her ambition is driven by a desire to contribute to her community and bring about positive change by ensuring justice and safety for all. The scholarship has provided her with the resources and encouragement needed to pursue this noble career path.
Without your support, Nilansha* and many other vulnerable girls like her will be susceptible to trafficking and eventually be bearers who continue the chain of exploitation. The financial support from the scholarship has enabled Nilansha* to access quality education, purchase necessary study materials, including stationary items, and focus on her studies without the burden of financial stress.
With your support, we are confident that these young minds will have the tools they need to succeed and the confidence to pursue their dreams. As you may know, from the beginning of the campaign, the goal was to support 227 of which 40 of the most vulnerable girls were to be enrolled in an educational institute with a residential facility. While we are now supporting 350 non-boarding and 25 boarding scholars, we aim to reach 500 additional girls scholars by the end of the current academic year.
With support from donors like you, we are hopeful that we will be able to attain this goal by the end of June 2025.
With heartfelt appreciation,
Team iPartner India
