#BooksGiveRefuge is an initiative designed to support those in need and those affected by difficult situations. We focus on helping children with refugee experiences, children in orphanages, and those in social care centers. Our main goal is to encourage reading among Ukrainian children who are currently facing an exceptionally difficult situation.
We accept requests from perschools, schools, libraries, and community centers asking for support in the form of books for their young residents. We strive to provide books that suit their needs, including books in various languages—Polish, Ukrainian, and English.
In recent months, we have donated another 1,200 books to places like:
Last year, we donated almost 7,500 books to dozens of institutions. These efforts help rebuild a sense of stability. Books play an important therapeutic role in dealing with crises, processing trauma, and building mental resilience.
Thanks to your support, we’re able to reach places where books are most needed! We are incredibly grateful for every contribution, and we encourage you to continue supporting our project—real change takes time and long-term effort.
