The Carolyn A. Miller High school kindergarten II graduation ceremony was held on the 15th of July 2023 at the school premises. The makeup of this program was a series of activities that were done by the students. These activities include songs that were done by graduating class, Careers inspirational poem, giving of certificates and finally a message from the guest speaker.

It was a very great time for both the parents and teachers. Our Parents were very excited to watch their children demonstrating skills through songs, recitations and inspirational speeches.  The valedictorian student Abraham gave an enthusiastic speech; he appreciated his teacher for her hard work. He said, “Our teacher motivates us and also guides us to have some aim in life. According to our teacher, Mrs. Johnson a person without an aim in life is like a ship without its radar”.

The kindergarten II teacher Mrs. Johnson was so joyful to see her students completing their first educational journey. She said, “I must say that I have happy memories of my students from the first day of school to the last day where I spent so many days happily in close contact with them. I will miss them”.

The guest speaker Mr. Akoi encouraged parents to keep investing in their children’s education. He said parents should also invest their time and not only money. “Children are less likely to have behavioral issues at home or at school. Children who spend more quality time with their families are less likely to participate in risky behaviors such as drug and alcohol usage”. Mr. Akoi said.

VAAFD says a big thanks to GlobalGiving and our donors. Thank you for your unfailing, steadfast, and unwavering support. You’re the rare type of donor who makes a difference in people’s lives, pulls them up, and makes the world a better place. The task ahead of us is arduous, and your generosity has made it that much easier to complete it and propel us forward.
