Young person helps change lives

Our intern has come, Will, and gone but he has not been forgotten. Because of your help we can offer programs like this to young people that wish to pursue a medical career. He was caring, energetic, and only needed to be told once.

Teaching a student of this caliber is such a pleasure. We know he will be a better healthcare provider in the future with this experience under his belt. Knowing this will make a brighter future for our country and countries around the world is very encouraging.

He taught, took vital signs, interpreted, cared for people, moved supplies, orgainized the pharmacy and made sure if there was a need that we found a way to take care of it. In one case a 8 year old girl with Marfans Syndrome came into the clinic for help when the system in the country had abandoned her, we were able to take her in for help outside the countries free and very unavailable heathcare. She was able to be properly helped with her eyesight through this interviention. All she wanted was to be able to see her mother. As a result this physician has a US team coming in December and will receive the eye surgery she needs and not available in Honduras.

All things happen for a reason.

Thank you for your support.
