Honduras is full of children that are abused physically, emotionally, sexually, and verbally. The families do not make enough money to pay for their family so sometimes they send small children on the streets to sell candy and items to pay the bills.
They are also abused at school where they are harrassed by gang members. Teachers do not protect them as it would mean abuse for them and their families.
Last Monday we started a psychologist at the clinic to provide counseling (no charge) to children in need of his services. Outlets are given for children and positive reinforcement is given. They are able to discuss their fears without the parents for periods of time.
Juan has been very attentive to the children and plans on dedicating his life to this service.
We are very lucky to have him at the Clinica de Esperanza. Please give him your prayers and prayers for the children.
