Ledy is one of our nursing scholarship recipients from your contributions through global giving and microsoft youthspark. She has completed her internship at Dime hospital. She did so with great flare, dedication and loyalty.
Nursing is one of the most demanding fields and studying to become a nurse is very difficult. Add that to the rigorous life of raising and supporting a family and you have to come to grips with what you are made of in the process. The challenges present the opportunity to grow professionally and as a person.
Many of us never take a chance to do something that seems completely out of the question. We dream about a different life but are to afraid to take the step towards that dream. What a different life we will have if we live the dream and take the plunge.
Ledy took the plunge without knowing she had the funds to accomplish her dream. She took the step on faith and faith alone. All of you who have donated made her realize a dream come true.
