It has been a great year in Santa Ana, Honduras at the Clinica de Esperanza. We believe education is the key to a future in healthcare. Not only for Americans but for Hondurans as well. For many years we have hoped to provide better learning opportunities for a greater number of people.
Previously Interns stayed with me in my home which meant no more than 2 students at a time. This limits the amount of learning that can take place in a single setting. This learning is paramount to healthcare providers learning about the needs in a 3rd world country. This introduction will change the future of the students who choose to participate.
As an solution to this problem we have begun construction behind the clinic for a dormitory to house medical, nursing, PA, ARNP, dental, and pharmaceutical students. The dormitory is currently at 75% completion.
Thank you for supporting this effort to train students to be better healthcare providers and willing to serve in the future.
In gratitude,
