During the 2025–2026 academic year, 21 young changemaker fellows were placed in 11 rural schools across 9 soums in 7 provinces nationwide. Through their daily teaching and leadership, they directly reached and positively impacted over 4,700 students.
Most of these fellows come from non-teaching backgrounds. Driven by their skills, knowledge, and strong commitment to educational equity, they have dedicated two years to teaching in underserved communities—bringing fresh perspectives, innovative practices, and leadership to the classroom.
Academic Impact
As part of our 2025–2026 school year survey, we assessed the academic performance of 2,213 students across Grades 3–12. The results show an average improvement of 20%, demonstrating measurable progress in student learning outcomes within just one school year.
Non-Academic Impact
Beyond academics, our fellows have significantly influenced students’ attitudes toward learning. Teachers report notable improvements in student engagement, participation, confidence, and motivation. Many students who were previously disengaged are now actively contributing in class and setting higher aspirations for themselves.
Student Outcomes
All fellows are trained and guided to work toward Teach For Mongolia’s defined student outcomes, which include mastery of academic knowledge, teamwork and problem-solving skills, a growth mindset, and integrity. Over the course of their two-year fellowship, teachers intentionally design lessons, projects, and classroom environments that foster both competence and character.
By aligning classroom practice with these long-term outcomes, our fellows not only improve academic achievement—they equip students with the skills, mindset, and values needed to thrive beyond school and contribute meaningfully to their communities.
