Local traditions in Guatemala make the celebration of Semana Santa (Easter week) an important one. Children usually do not receive gifts at Easter but do attend a big and colorful parade. Special food is prepared in order for families to celebrate together. With your generosity, the teachers and staff at Centro Infantil Bellota (Acorn Childcare Center) gifted families traditional egg yolk breads -- Panes de Semana Santa -- to celebrate together. Many of the families enrolled at the Center are struggling and these little moments of celebration are so appreciated and welcomed, bringing hope and joy to their lives. Thank you!
