The Data Behind the Difference: 2023 Impact Report Summary

By Lucija Rozic | Team Member

As we take a moment to look back on the year that has passed, we are filled with profound gratitude as we present this overview of our impact in 2023.

This past year has marked a period of exceptional growth, deeper connections, and significant transformations—not only within the scope of our program but profoundly within the lives of our participants.

Our path through 2023 has gathered an incredible array of caregivers, whose ages span from 24 to 80 years and which has seen a heartening increase in male involvement. These devoted individuals have formed the foundation of our mission, hailing from esteemed institutions such as Ciudad del Niño, San Jose de Malambo, Hogar La Merced, Aldeas SOS Colón, and Hogar San Vicente de Paúl. This group also includes families eager to adopt and administrators of orphanage-substitute homes. Their dedication has been crucial in sowing the seeds of development and progress.

Direct Impact Overview: 62 individuals, detailed as follows:

  • 35 devoted teachers at San José de Malambo School, nurturing the intellect and spirits of those at Hogar Malambo.
  • 10 empathetic caregivers from Ciudad del Niño.
  • 5 caring caregivers each from Hogar La Merced and Aldeas SOS Colón.
  • 5 heartfelt caregivers from Hogar San Vicente de Paúl.
  • 2 members of an adopting family, a mother, and a grandmother.

Indirect Impact Overview: Working side by side with a group of 62 participants, the program has helped 594 individuals:

  • 460 enthusiastic students at San José de Malambo School, benefiting from the guidance of our trained educators.
  • 65 lively children and adolescents at Ciudad del Niño.
  • 25 bright young girls at Hogar La Merced.
  • 31 determined girls at Hogar San Vicente de Paúl.
  • 12 energetic youths at Aldeas SOS Colón.
  • 1 hopeful child on their journey to finding a forever home.

This summary gives just a peek into how much our program has achieved in 2023. It shows how committed we are to making sure education, care, and support are always there for those who need them.

By working together, we're doing more than just helping out; we're changing lives. And we're excited to keep this good work going, making even more of a difference in 2024 <3
