This past week we have seen storms, earthquakes, hurricanes, tornadoes, floods, lightening and thunder. I have also seen grasshoppers for the first time in years. I have had to stay inside due to air quality and have been struggling with my chronic pains. All during the tail end of a beautiful summer in the PNW.
Putting all that aside, we having truly been blessed over the past few months with many family gatherings, birthdays, anniversaries, weddings, graduations and more. There is so much to celebrate, even in the midst of our struggles.
Celebration and frustration go hand in hand. Like Joy and Sorrow, Love and Hate, Hope and Despair. We are surrounded by so much Give and Take in our world.
Everyday, every moment of everyday, we are challenged to make the right decision. Decisions, little or big, are all stepping stones to the Kingdom. Each choice takes closer the Path, or leads us astray.
Everyday, whether my body wants to or not, I make the effort to pray and think about all those people who God had brought into my life. Some for just a moment, others for a lifetime. I thank God for the impact each has had on my life, my faith, my character and my ability to love. Thank you for being one of those names.
This week we are continuing our request for funds for Haiti. There have been many opportunities to help us fulfill our mission. Many calls have been answered, but the are still many that have not yet been completed.
Here is a short list of our open calls.
  • Scholarship fund for 2023-24, $6,500
  • Oxen and plow for Boucantiste, $3,000
  • Water pump and irrigation pipe for local farmers, $5,000
  • Payroll costs for 65 Haitian families, $26,000
Thank you in advance for what the Lord will put into your heart today. His dream, His plan, His wisdom, His love, His hope, His desire, His Faith, His trust, His life.
We at BonZeb are grateful for all your support, prayers and love. We continue our work with the people of Haiti with a thankful heart knowing that you will continue to be with us along this road. The journey is not an easy one, but it is a fulfilling and blessed one.
We are striving still to raise the funds needed for the scholarships we began a few years ago for our students, with the promise to continue to fund them until they graduated.
Those students Luc, Cassie, Myrad, Myrna, Aniela, Luna, Ray, Anne, Angela, Emmanuella, Justin, Pierre and Piertre are all beginning classes once again and their tuition for the year needs to be paid. Any assistance that you can offer would be greatly appreciated.
