Eric entered St. Vincent Nursery school as a very reserved and shy boy. He was quite timid and had difficulty in eating since at home tea and sometimes a small portion of rice was the only food he was well acquainted with. This unhealthy eating had left him with little energy and he could not play or participate in class. Clearly, Eric required additional assistance to help him eat better to improve his overall health.
His teacher introduced Eric to small portions of food at the beginning of the year gradually increasing what he eats. With this patient and caring treatment, Eric gradually increased his eating portions. This is a positive change that was achievable due to the kind assistance of our donors who fund our program.
The more Eric received proper nutrition, his energy levels and attention improved. During the lessons, he was more attentive and during break times he was and is more energetic. The boy who used to be shy and keep to himself, is now extremely active at school and also in the playground. He has begun playing with his classmates and likes belonging to the group and this has increased his self-esteem.
Eric’s mother is deeply grateful for the transformation she has seen in her son. She continually thanks his teacher for the encouragement and care that has helped Eric learn to eat at home as well. This success story would not have been possible without the kind donations from supporters who believe in improving children's health and development. We sincerely thank all our donors for their continued generosity and impact on children’s lives like Eric’s.
