EDUCATION AND LEADERSHIP FOR GIRLS IN RURAL AREAS
Teach for Bolivia is committed to transforming education in rural areas of the country, focusing on girls and young women who face significant barriers to accessing inclusive, quality education. One of the fundamental pillars of this program is the training of professionals, known as Agents of Change, who contribute skills, experience, and a deep commitment to the education of the most vulnerable. Through
this commitment, we can demonstrate how this effort positively impacts rural communities and how our programs contribute to the leadership, self-esteem, and comprehensive development of students, especially girls and adolescents.
Contribution to the Teach for Bolivia Project
During the first two months of the school year, the Teach for Bolivia Programs Department held " Introduction Breakfasts," with 45 meetings in La Paz and 10 in Santa Cruz. These events brought together key players from the local educational ecosystem with the goal of strengthening collaborative partnerships.
In an environment of equal dialogue, the collective commitment to transformative education in communities, especially for indigenous girls and adolescents, was strengthened.
Promoting Gender Equity and Leadership
In this second in-person training, we reinforced key topics such as gender equity and leadership, encouraging this team to further expand their knowledge and skills. We are proud to see their enthusiasm and hear how they now feel more prepared to address topics that are often left out of the classroom.
We deeply appreciate each teacher for dedicating their time and energy to these spaces, which will undoubtedly have a positive impact on all students.
As part of this Semiannual Retreat, we delivered five Gender Equity and Leadership Backpacks, each with a complete kit: a manual, games, and learning cards. All this practical material will allow you to share these lessons in an educational and transformative way with your students.

Climate Education
We celebrated World Environment Day with our educational communities in La Paz and Santa Cruz, where our girls and young women led environmental awareness activities with children and adolescents. During the activity, students learned how to make eco-bricks using 2-liter bottles filled with up to 400 grams of plastic waste, which is equivalent to approximately 500 to 700 bags.
We reaffirm our commitment to climate change, promoting transformative education, that develops conscious, committed, and active leaders in addressing environmental challenges.
