The key to development in Peru is education. Providing a quality education from an early age will be contributing to the good development. The Yachay Kuska School 's mission is to be a center of high quality education that respects, maintains and rescue the traditions of the area, which is intercultural and inclusive.
Peru is an underdeveloped country and we believe this is due to the lack of education from the past years. Nowadays, education is getting better and more children have access to it. Nevertheless, it is not enough. The quality of the education in public schools is very poor and old fashioned. Children are not prepared for life, their personal development is not taken into account. They just learn how to memorize, obey and please others. Violence is another factor that is not taken care of.
In our school children are motivated to be thoughtful, criticals, creatives and confidents in themselves and their potential, able to lead and contribute to improving their environment. It is important to transmit good values to children in this age so that these bases are well sound the rest of their lives. We want to offer children a place where to have fun while learning, where they receive care, attention and affection and where they feel free and happy.
Our children will be agents of change, who will contribute to develop a better society, more solidarity, empathic, respectful; taking care about others and nature. Their families are also more conscious and learn how to educate their children in a more respectful and loving way.
