In a significant stride towards empowering Liberian youth, Camp for Peace Liberia has initiated the construction of a cutting-edge four-classroom facility in Salayea, Lofa County. This expansion aims to accommodate the growing demand for vocational training programs and will specifically house the Department of General Construction, encompassing masonry, plumbing, electricity, and carpentry.
Upon completion, the facility is poised to serve as a hub for training, offering opportunities to over 40 young Liberians annually. This addition aligns with Camp for Peace's commitment to fostering skills development, building upon existing programs such as general agriculture for Liberian youth and specialized training in weaving and tailoring for women in the region.
The construction project, valued at over $35,000 USD, has been made possible through the generous support of the Pindoff Family Charity Foundation of Canada and the Steel Workers Humanity Fund. Camp for Peace Liberia expresses profound gratitude to these organizations for their instrumental contributions to this transformative initiative.
This endeavor marks a landmark achievement for Camp for Peace Liberia, reinforcing its dedication to creating sustainable opportunities and empowering the youth of Liberia through skill-building and education.
