“Look how Camp for Peace has brought pride and modernization to this community to help our youth acquire knowledge and skills. The program here can be compared to others around the world. Now we are proud people and want to thank Camp for Peace and their supporters for all the good work.”

We’re excited to share a brief update on the progress of our education project supporting marginalized youth and women in Liberia.

Over the past few months, we have enrolled 80 students across seven vocational trades: weaving, tailoring, agriculture, masonry, carpentry, electricity, and plumbing. These skills are helping our beneficiaries build brighter futures and reduce their dependence on handouts.

In addition, we launched a major agriculture initiative aimed at planting 1.5 million corn plants. These crops will feed 45,000 chickens, which we plan to sell in the local market. This initiative is part of our long-term plan to generate income and subsidize the operations of our vocational school.

We’ve also enrolled 60 children of single mothers into a care and learning support program. This allows the mothers to fully participate in their training, knowing their children are safe and supported.

One community member shared this moving testimony:

“Look how Camp for Peace has brought pride and modernization to this community to help our youth acquire knowledge and skills. The program here can be compared to others around the world. Now we are proud people and want to thank Camp for Peace and their supporters for all the good work.”

Thank you to all of our GlobalGiving donors. Your support is making a real difference. We look forward to sharing more stories of impact in the coming months.
