Quarterly Report of December 2018

To observe ‘World white cane safety Day’ BERDO with the support of Social Welfare Department organized a Rally and a Discussion meeting at Directorate head Office Agargaon, Dhaka on 15-10-2018. The grand event was organized in collaboration with Department of Social Welfare.  All students of BERDO blind School attended the function. Senior level government officials of different ministries including relevant social welfare ministry also attended the event

27th International Day of Disability and 20th days of national disability was celebrated on 3rd December, 2018 at Bangabondu Sheik Mujib Conference Hall (ex. Bangladesh China Friendship Hall). Ms. Sheik Hasina, Honorable Prime Minister of People republic of Bangladesh had graced the function as chief guest. Minister and State Minister of Social Welfare Ministry, Health Minister, Secretaries and BERDO Executive Director Md. Saidul Huq participated in the function. In addition, Ministers and state ministers of different ministries, secretaries, Members of parliament, high level government officials, were among others present in the function.

In addition a 5 days long Disability Fair was organized to mark the day at Social Welfare Department premises. BERDO participated in the fair by putting a stall at the fair. All students of BERDO blind school visited the fair. They enjoyed the day with much fanfare and enthusiasm. They (student of Blind School) seemed much delightful and contended.

 

5 students of BERDO blind school had appeared in the PSC (Primary School Closing) examination. Besides other students of different classes had appeared in yearly closing examination. Now all students will move into next higher classes. They will enjoy new classes, new experiences and new study in coming years.
