Quarterly Report

A visit to “ Shisu mela ” , an amusement Park for recreation and games of Children, was organized for our students on 18-07-2016. They were taken there for recreation. Students stayed there from 10 A.M. to 1.30 P.M. They enjoyed various entertainment items like riding train, Nagardolla and other rides. Two House tutors assisted them in visit of 28 students. All students enjoyed all amusement items with joyful mood and much enthusiasm.

A dinner party for our school students was organized by the student of Independent University of Bangladesh (IUB) at BERDO on 23-06-2016. A total of 37 students, who supported the “dinner party”,   were present on the occasion. They share different views and opinions with our students and spent time with them. At one stage, sponsors enjoyed different music, drama rendered / performed by BERDO school students. They expressed their commitment for future support and assistance to Blind school.

Indian High Commissioner to Bangladesh visited BERDO Braille School on August 30, 2016. He spent about 2 hours with our children. His Excellency exchanged ideas and share views with students on different issues. He expressed satisfaction and hoped that students with visually impairment have huge potential to be worthy citizen like common citizen of the country. Later he also enjoyed cultural programme like Music, songs etc. A discussion meeting was also organized. After the meeting the high Commissioner handed over the key of the Microbus for use of students.

A microbus has been given by India government as donation for school student use. The key of Microbus was handed over by Indian High Commissioner on August 30, 2016. It is hoped that this vehicle will support school student in their mobility.   Blind student expressed their gratitude to Indian government for providing such vehicles and hoped that this support will provide them opportunity for more mobility of students in future. They also hoped that such support will continue in future.
