Today we would like to tell you the story of one of the children welcomed by the Effeta Institute. Raaf is a little girl who is now five years old. Her family is extremely poor; in fact, her father is a simple worker. Besides his own family, he has to support his brother’s, since he died leaving her wife alone with five children. Raaf’s mother is unemployed and she can’t find a job, because of the difficult economic and political situation of the country. The little girl is affected by serious deafness and, even though her mother takes great care of her, Raaf can’t attend normal classes at school.
For this reason, in September she entered the Effeta Institute. She is making progress with school and she is learning how to use the hearing aid she was provided with. She is enthusiast with all the activities she takes part in, and she loves playing with her classmates, which she already considers friends. Since her house is too far away from the Institute, Raaf stays there the whole week and she goes home for the weekend.
Thanks to your support, Raaf can now attend a school which is adequate to her needs and she can live a more decent and peaceful life. Raaf is just one of the many children that you help through your commitment. Thank you for making this possible!
