The Future pilot's Story!

By Team | RSKS India

Madhubala (changed name) is 8 years old girl comes from Valmiki community and resides at a slum of Ajmer city with her parents and 4 brothers and sisters. Her father is a Habitual drunkard and her mother's profession is to clean roads and drainage. Madhubala's mother does hard work to nurture the children. Madhubala studies in 1st standard and she is an intelligent girl.

Madhubala's mother somehow manages to feed 4 children, but she is disappointed by her husband's habit of consuming liquor. The financial condition of the family getting worst day by day and that made Madhubala's mother to decide not to send her children to school as she was helpless to deal with the situation in the lack of finances. Madhubala wanted to study but the pathetic financial condition of the family didn't allow her.

When the Team RSKS came to know about that, the Team visited her school to collect information about Madhubala and visited her place with the school staff. The Team discussed the problem with her mother and consulted her to send Madhubala to school and provided her the study material. Madhubala got a new hope by getting the study material.

Now, Madhubala goes to school every day and attends classes regularly. In her words, ...

I want to fly in the sky as I dream to be a Pilot for which I work hard. I want to compete the race of life as a pioneer. But, most important, I want other children in my locality should also be joined to the mainstream of education.
