Dear Friend's Namaste!
Being educated is the right of every child and it must be practised equally for either it is a boy or a girl in urban as well as rural areas. But, our society still follows the conservating thinking for girl education where it is considered of no importance and as the result girls are deprived of education. Doing household chores is the major responsibiliy of girls instead of reading books and writing with the pen.
Rajasthan Samgrah Kalyan Sansthan manages "Pathshala-a school" to change the approach of the society and to develop girl education. RSKS, with the financial support of GlobalGiving Foundation, runs "Pathshala" at 7 distinct villages where more than 210 poor rural girls get quality education. Thus, RSKS has set an excellent example in the field of education and joined the older students of "Pathshala" to the main stream of the education by get them registered in schools and selected needy girls for the new session and joined them to "Pathshala".
In the new session of "Pathshala" being run with the valuable support of GlobalGiving Foundation, girls got themselves registered with excitement and got quality education. Among them some were attended school for the first time. Out master trainers and teachers at "Pathshala" teach them Hind, English and Mathematics with simple and easy excercises. The parents of the little girls are happy to see them going school and expect a bright future for them. All the parents thank GlobalGiving Foundation and the donors as it is their efforts that made it possible for their children to have equal right of education.
One of our activists met with a guardian of a student in Pathshala. The father of a student named Asha (Name Changed) told that the financial conditions of their family was pathetic and they were not able to get their child registered in a school. Whenever Asha saw other children going to school she asked when she would go to school. But now, with the valuable efforts made by RSKS and GlobalGiving Foundation Asha goes to school and her father seeing her going to school was so happy for which he thanks GlobalGiving Foundation and the donors.
