28th February is celebrated as National Science Day in India as on this day in 1928, he discovered a phenomenon of scattering of photons which was later known as ‘Raman Effect’ after his name. After two years in 1930, he got Nobel Prize for this remarkable discovery and this was the first Nobel Prize for India in the field of Science. To mark the discovery of his famous phenomenon National Science Day is celebrated in India on the day each year. So on this special occasion, RSKS India decided to go with the theme of "Women In Science" to spread the message of importance of science and its application among the people.
RSKS India with the valuable support of GlobalGiving and the donors celebrated NATIONAL SCIENCE DAY with 40 girls child of the society studying in the PAATHSHALA School of RSKS India for the following purpose:-
And to attain this purpose the small girl children prepared Science Models of Clean Village, ATM, Water Evaporation, Wind Mill etc. prepared posters, banners and also conducted a rally in the village area to make the people understand about the importance of science in our day to day life. Remote area villagers do not know about the term science but still they are practicing science activities or can see the natural science happening around them but they are not aware about them so by conducting this program all the marginalized community got to know about the importance of science and especially girls and women of the society got awareness about this.
Through these activities, the small and marginalized girl children studying in the PAATHSHALA School got to know about the basic science as well as thinking capability of those children got bigger. PAATHSHALA School is not only to educate the bookish knowledge to the children, the school is about making them understand new things and also through them the society can learn as it is commonly said that “If we educate a girl then we educate the whole society”. This program conducted with a new curiosity in the children of gaining new knowledge about science and also making them understand to people. The Village officials and the village people appraised this program.
