A Impactful Story of Hitanshi from Ground ......!!
My name is Hitanshi (Name Changed) and I am 15 years old. I live in a rural remote village with me mother, father and a younger sister. I am currently studying in class X and in a government school. My father is a mason and works as a daily wages labour in the city and my mother is housewife. My father is the only person who earns for the family and my mother says that my father’s earning are not sufficient to fulfil all our needs and we always have to cooperate with what we have but when it is about education then I must have the necessary things required to get education like the notebooks, pen, pencil, geometry etc but still I have none of it this year because my father was at home during the pandemic lockdowns and due to it the financial condition of my family has become worse. I love to study but due to many reasons, I am unable to study now as I am not even having a bag to go to school.
After some days of my session being started at school, some people from Rajasthan Samgrah Kalyan Sansthan came to my school and then to my class along with the principal and then the principal pointed out me and told them that I need some education materials help then the RSKS Team members came to and asked my address and then after the school hours, they came to my home with a baseline survey form and asked my mother questions about my and my family’s condition. After taking all the necessary documents they left my home and came back again within weeks with the education materials and hygiene kits. I was not the only girl selected from the school there were 16 other girls too from my school who were also having the problems like me and the RSKS Team selected all of us and then provided us the education materials which we wanted the most along with the hygiene kit. The whole program was done while following the safety protocols. After the distribution work, the RSKS Team came again to take feedback from me and my family.
Now I am regular at school and all of my focus is on my studies as now I have all the things which I required like the registers, geometry box, school bag, pens, pencils, colours, drawing book, sketch book etc. All of these were provided to me by RSKS India and along with this they also provided me soaps, sanitary napkins, handkerchief etc hygiene materials which also gave me so much happiness. My parents had also a wave of happiness when they saw all of these materials. My parents and I was amazed when the RSKS team members came again to take feedback of the whole work they did, as they already did a good thing but still they are asking for feedback, it truly shows their transparency & generosity of working. Me and my family thank whole RSKS India team and the donors by whom the girls like me are studying at the school tension free. I would surely do my best to score well in the school so that this support from RSKS India would not go of any use.
