Girls Celebrate Festival of Lights

By Team | RSKS India

Dear Patron !

A Warm Greeting from RSKS India.......

Diwali also known as "Festival of Lights" is very important festival in India. On this day, all the children are excited to celebrate this day by wearing new dresses, lighting up the lamps eating sweets and greeting each other. In this context, RSKS India organized Diwali Celebration Program with the Pathshala School Girls. In the Pathshala School, rural adolescent girls are getting value based education and these girls also deserve the opportunity to celebrate the Festival of lights like the other urban children does.

In order to bring smiles on the faces of these adolescent girl children, Rajasthan Samgrah Kalyan Sansthan organized Diwali Festival Celebration Program at the 5 Pathshala Schools in which more than 200 Pathshala School girl children participated. In this Diwali Festival Celebration program, the RSKS team and the Pathshala Teacher told the importance of this festival to the students by narrating the whole story and giving them the message that “Light always conquers the Darkness”. Along with this, the Pathshala School children were wearing new dresses and also did cultural activities like singing, dancing, poem recitation etc. These girl children also fed sweets to each other and wished better for each other. Then all these children burned firecrackers and lamps to celebrate the festival of lights.

This Diwali Celebration program not only gave a big smile on the face of these girl children but also motivated them to be together against the darkness/ problems in life. All these girl children got to eat delicious sweets and also the got the knowledge about the importance of the Diwali Festival. This celebration program made these girls come together as one part of the family. Along with this, the firecrackers gave them the moments of joy and lighting of the lamps made their whole Pathshala School glooming. The RSKS team members and the Pathshala Teachers also got the chance to build better relations with these children and these girls got the chance to celebrate the festival of lights like the children living in the urban areas does. All these girl children thanked RSKS India for organizing such a wonderful Diwali Celebration Program.
