Education for children in Ecuador

We havn't stopped in our communities in Ecuador, with just two days off over Christmas, the children have been in school in both primary and secondary. Our funded teachers are doing especially well, imparting their knowledge to the little ones. Our secondary school kids are equally doing well, sponsored though further education through Plan Moo, whereby the income from milk helps cover the costs of their education.

This year, your very kind donations will be going towards the salaries of our local teachers who give classes to the children. We also pay a local teacher to give computing lessons. By investing in local talent, knowledge and qualified teachers, the projects become more sustainable as reliance from afar lessens over the years. Obviously donations are needed to pay for their salaries, though the very presence of local employment is a huge plus.

We will also be investing in Plan Moo (described above) and Plan Papa, which is investing in potato crops and local employment which moves towards our sustainability model; by investing in income-generating sustainable plans now, in the future income will be generated for the schools to help pay the monthly costs. Plan Ironwoman will continue to be invested in, which involves iron-rich vegetable and herb gardens for pre and post-natal mothers to counteract the sad effects of malnutrition.
