At Denis Miki Foundation (DMF) our work empowers women and girls without leaving out men and boys. We belive that boys, young men and men require a lot more support than they currently receive to help them become the best versions of themselves and prevent them from becoming recalsitrant, delinguent or violent extremists.
Daily in local communities we witness numerous boys been mistreated, left alone while expecting them to "man up" and most often branded as troublemakers by grown up people.
Like girls and women; boys and men need so much support and assistance especially with their education, mental health and wellbeing so as to help them make better decisions and choices that will bring the best out of them and provide a longterm and lasting impact for them and prevent them from not indulging in or becoming perpetrators of different forms of Gender-Based Violence (GBV).
Through our Education Fund we support boys and young men get quality education, provide mentorship, coaching, life support, psychological and skills acquisition programs to support their growth and advancement.
This is made possible; like in the case of the internally displaced boy seen in the photo who graduated as the first in his class and for whom we are currently raising funds to support his secondary school education through donations. His dream is to become a Mechanical Engineer and without support from Goodwill Donors like everyone of us reading this then his dreams may just be dreams and not become a near future reality.
We appreciate your support this far and look forward to your continuous donations to help us do more for him and other deserving boys like him.
