Through the Denis Miki Foundation in Cameroon we conducted community outreach to identify and register vulnerable girls who were out of school or affected by crisis. We worked with parent’s teachers and local leaders to select beneficiaries and we provided scholarships school fees uniforms books and other learning materials to help them enroll and remain in school.
We organized regular mentorship and life skills sessions where girls (20) received guidance on leadership confidence communication health education and financial literacy and each participant was connected to a mentor for continuous support. We created safe spaces through the Her Voice Club where girls met weekly to share experiences build skills and receive emotional support in a protective environment.
We also delivered health and protection awareness sessions and engaged parents and community leaders to promote girls education and reduce early marriage and dropout. Through school visits and home follow up we monitored attendance performance and wellbeing and we carried out fundraising activities to mobilize resources and expand support to more girls.
