Our project aims to provide scholarships for female university students to help pursue their educational goals. Purpose of grant is to empower girls by removing the financial burdens associated with going to, surviving in, and graduating from university. On the other hand, after a devastating earthquake struck Turkey on February 6, we decided to support female students, studying in the fields of architecture, civil engineering, and geology engineering from earthquake-affected areas.
Women in developing countries face to barriers for higher education, because of not only inadequate financial support but also traditional thinking. Gender inequality reinforces its effects during and after disasters. So, We would like to change this situation by supporting Girls studying architecture, civil engineering and geology engineering in earthquake-affected areas. The reason for this, is to emphasize that education can play a crucial role in minimizing the damages caused by disasters.
Buldan Foundation aims to empower women by supporting their higher education. On the other hand, Foundation decided to provide scholarships to girls studying, architecture, civil and geology engineering from earthquake-affected areas. By doing that, it emphasizes that education can play a crucial role in minimizing the damages caused by disasters. At the same time, supporting gender equality in these fields empower women to take a leading role in disaster management.
The project can fully fund 100 female students for financial support by covering some of costs related to higher education, allowing them to focus on their studies, follow their dreams, and achieve positive social change. Funding women's higher education has a multiplier effect on improving the development of their communities and countries as a whole. Together, we can give women the opportunity to achieve and the future to create change in honor of whole world.
