For more than 14 years Niños de Guatemala (NDG) has been providing education to 550 students from low income families. NDG operates 3 own schools, and helps children receive a better education and opportunities for life. Due to the pandemic we saw the need to find ways where we could help our students and continue their education remotely but always guided by the education team. In 2021,thanks to a project launched here at GlobalGiving, we provided tablets to high school students and then we identified we needed better school platforms at all levels for the 2022 school year.
Last March our students were finally allowed to come back to their classrooms in a hybrid mode which even though is not going back to normal, is a new opportunity for new beginnings. They are working in small groups or bubbles and with the Covid restrictions.
By providing better platforms and devices, our students were able to receive a better and higher quality education. This year we are happy to say that thanks to your donations we were able to continue pursuing a better education with 18 more Tzunun licenses for students from 8th grade to 11th grade. This means that 113 students are having accessible content at home and in school to learn through creative content.
Tzunun is a platform that delivers the curricular content as required by the Educational Ministry and helps the students and the teachers. Tzunun helps us with dynamic content and innovative ways to learn like videos, games, worksheets and guides for the teachers.
We still want to cover our 7th graders and we are counting on your support to continue giving a better education. Our fundraiser is still open, we invite you to donate at this link to help us reach our final goal. And now that we are in a new modality, our doors are open for you, so you can come and see the impact of your support.
