Education Support for Underprivileged Children

Greetings from SERUDS.

Thank you for all your kind continuing generous support for the impoverished girl children through GlobalGiving Organization. Thank you for approving the Grant under Community Development Grants Programme through GlobalGiving UK to provide the Educational Support for the Impoverished Girls, whose both parents are passed away and single parent is working as domestic servant maid, scavengers, daily wage labour in the construction sites, tobacco making units, market yards, goat/ ox cutting shops & establishments in and around of Kurnool District of Andhra Pradesh State. The Girl Children are belongs to very poor family background and poverty, the children age group between 12yrs to 15yrs and studying VII Standard to V Standard in IGMM High School, A.Camp, Kurnool.

The Poor Girl Students belongs to different Mandals of Kurnool and Mahaboob Nagar Districts of AP and Telangana States respectively. The Girls parents are earns Rs.300 per day as their daily income and this is not at all sufficient for the daily household needs. Single Parent / Guardians struggles to provide timely education support, nutritious food, sufficient health care to these girl students. That is why many of the girl children are staying in the welfare hostels and going to the outside school. Sometimes they suffer more for the Sanitary Napkins also. SERUDS identified such a sensitive issue and supplying the sanitary napkins to the girl students time to time. Girls are very enthusiastic at studies, games and sports. Due to poverty and lack of educational material many of Girls are not willing to go to School. At that time parents forcefully send them to work as domestic servant maids in the landlord houses as bonded labour.

In this critical juncture, SERUDS have been identified and discussed with the School Authorities, Welfare hostel wardens, School Student Committees, Girl Children Leaders and as per their desire conducting Sensitization Awakening programs for motivation towards career & future aspirations and providing timely Educational Material Support which includes Branded School Uniforms, Long note books, Short Note books, Oxford Dictionary, Colour Pencils, Pens, Erasers, Sharpners, Scale, Sketches, Geometry Box, Lunch Box, Shoes, Socks, Branded Back Pack, Writing Pad, White Papers, Etc. for the 200 impoverished girls as part of Education Sponsorship program under Community Development Grants Programme through GlobalGiving UK esteemed organization.

Greetings from SERUDS

Thank you for all your generous support for the education sponsorship to the economically disadvantaged children through esteemed organization GlobalGiving Foundation.

The main reason we started this initiative is as part of our regular ongoing projects we regularly visits to the different Government High Schools, where the children belongs to very poor family background. We identify the bright students and their needs related to education and belongs to economically poor. With this poverty many of the girl students are drop out and going to the work places with their parents to work as domestic servant maids and daily wage labour in market yards, tobacco making units. Some of them are victims of Child Trafficking. Some times parents forcedly send their adolescent girls to the work places to earn supplementary income for their family needs.

In this critical juncture SERUDS Charity working for the bright futures of Girl Students in their career by providing Educational Material like Note Books, Writing Pads, Geometry Box, Shoes, Socks, Colour Pencils, Sketches, Lunch Box, Branded Uniforms, Dictonary, School Bag, etc. With this timely educational material Girl Students are showing more enthusiasm towards progressing the education. Girl Students are attending Classes regularly and going to School with out absent. Children are very active at Sports and Games. With your timely support we are able to serve the girl children for their good career.
