Education Support for Underprivileged Children

At SERUDS, we believe that education is a powerful tool that can transform lives. We are committed to providing underprivileged girls with the educational support they need to become self-sufficient and successful after completing their schooling. Your generous contribution to our organization has significantly enhanced our efforts in supplying educational materials to girls enrolled in Municipal Memorial High Schools.

We regularly visit these high schools to discuss the educational needs of teenage girls. Our goal is to ensure that these students receive the necessary resources to continue their education and avoid dropping out of school. Many girls come from low-income families where their parents struggle to afford timely educational support, leading some to take up domestic work instead of attending school. We actively engage with parents, stressing the importance of education and its impact on future opportunities.

Our initiative provides essential educational support to female students from various regions of Andhra Pradesh, many of whom live in government welfare hostels. This includes supplying items such as notebooks, pens, writing pads, pencils, erasers, school backpacks, new uniforms, shoes, and socks. Recently, we extended this support to fifty underprivileged girls from grades six through ten at Indira Gandhi Memorial Municipal High School.

Thanks to these contributions, the girls are making notable academic progress, achieving good grades in their assessments. They have expressed their heartfelt gratitude for the educational materials provided. Additionally, there has been a noticeable reduction in school absences, and teachers have commended the students’ improved engagement and enthusiasm for learning.
