Education Support for Underprivileged Children

We extend our heartfelt thanks for your generous sponsorship towards the education of adolescent girls studying from grades VI to X at Indira Gandhi Memorial Municipal High School, A. Camp, Kurnool. Your support is transforming lives and giving these young girls a chance to dream of a brighter future.

The girls we support come from families facing extreme hardships. Their parents work as tobacco laborers, scavengers, daily wage workers, agricultural laborers, construction workers, plumbers, potters, rickshaw pullers, and other low-income jobs. These parents struggle immensely to ensure their children attend school regularly. Tragically, in some cases, fathers with alcohol addictions have forced their daughters to abandon their education and work as domestic maids in nearby homes.

SERUDS has intervened in such cases, counseling and motivating parents to prioritize their daughters' education. We have successfully rescued several girls from these dire situations and ensured they return to school. Your timely support has been instrumental in providing these girls with the educational materials and encouragement they need to continue their studies.

The adolescent girls, aged between 11 and 15 years, are determined to build a better future for themselves. We also provide regular counseling to their parents, educating them about the negative impact of alcohol addiction and emphasizing the importance of their children’s education. Through this approach, we aim to foster a supportive environment that enables these girls to thrive.

As part of our ongoing efforts, SERUDS provides educational material to a batch of 20 girls. The materials include essential items such as geometry boxes, long notebooks, school bags, shoes, socks, lunch boxes, pens, pencils, erasers, sharpeners, Oxford dictionaries, short notebooks, scales, writing pads, slates, branded uniforms (two pairs), sketch pens, and color pencils. These supplies not only meet their academic needs but also inspire them to stay focused and enthusiastic about their studies.

The girls are incredibly happy and grateful for your kind and generous support. Their smiles and progress stand as a testament to the positive impact of your contributions. Without your sponsorship, it would be exceedingly difficult for us to serve these destitute and underprivileged children in a timely manner.
